The challenge

Institutions that finance and insure agriculture need field-level ground truth — crop vigor, water, change over time — without sending inspectors to every paddy. Could a decision-grade report be produced from free satellite data alone?

What we deployed

Our Earth Engine stack computed a two-window seasonal NDVI time-series over the Chishang valley (April peak 0.69 → May–Jun 0.64), field-level chlorophyll mapping (NDCI 0.37), plus true- and false-color composites and water indices. The pipeline structured its output for three audiences: farmers and co-ops (harvest planning), buyers and exporters (EUDR documentation), and insurers (loss verification). Methodology notes are explicit — the full report is publicly accessible and the computation is reproducible by any operator with Google Earth Engine access.

The outcome

A complete, third-party-auditable farmland report demonstrating the Seges Field pipeline end to end: real numbers from real Sentinel-2 data, a reproducible and inspectable methodology, and a marine toolset (SST, chlorophyll, turbidity) that extends the same approach to aquaculture. The full report is available to read. Note: illustrative decision-support — not formal agronomic or investment advice.
